HEAD OF KATH HUMAN RESOURCE UNIT SWORN-IN AS A NATIONAL LABOUR COMMITTEE MEMBER
Mrs. Georgina Yeboah, Head of the Human Resources and Management Unit of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) has been sworn into office as a member of a Three-Member Committee at the regional office of the National Labour Commission (NLC) in Kumasi.
The Kumasi office of the NLC is expected to facilitate the settlement of industrial disputes in Ashanti, Ahafo and Bono regions as well as the five regions of the north.
The members of the Committee were sworn into office by a Kumasi High Court Judge, Mr. Justice Kofi Akrowiah.
The Committee will work with the Regional Officer of the Commission, Mr. Eric Omane Yeboah, to resolve labour disputes in the northern half of the country.
The other two members of the Committee are Mr. Kwame Adom-Appiah, a representative of the government and Mrs. Naomi Dedjei Otoo who is representing organized labour.
Mrs. Georgina Yeboah on the other hand, is representing employers on the Committee.
The opening of the Kumasi office of the Commission and the swearing-in of the committee form part of the decentralization agenda of the NLC.
