Utilization of OPD Services (2008)
Radiotherapy services have continued to attract the highest number of clients. In other to improve service delivery and sustain the quality care efforts, a pharmacist was trained in radio-iodine therapy and a nurse is pursuing a course in radiation therapy. There has been tremendous growth and consolidation of services over time. Thirteen different institutions were visited in 2008, with a total of 1,632 women screened for breast cancer. These visits allowed potential patients to be screened and treated as close to home as possible.
